PLAN 22 from Landmark . . .
Personal computer support just for you!
The average month has 22 working days. How many of those days can you afford for your computer to be down while you try and figure out what's wrong? The "do-it-yourself" approach to keeping your computer running can cost big bucks.
Now for a dollar per working day--$22 a month--you can have expedited access to Landmark's technical support line. You reserve half an hour of consulting services a month--usable by the minute.
That gets you our absolutely lowest consulting rate. It's been our most popular support plan for years, but until now it was for existing Landmark clients only. Now we're offering it to other Windows users on a trial basis.
If you talk with us about your computer even twenty minutes a month, PLAN 22 is for you. It pays for itself in increased productivity. You'll get professional computer support from Landmark. We make every effort to get to know you and your computer. We learn your work habits and computer needs. When you're on PLAN 22¸ we budget time to speak with you on a regular basis. That way you get Landmark's helpful support and key information in regular doses. We watch for computer news, bug reports, and "shareware" releases that can help you in your day-to-day work. When something goes wrong, we generally can diagnose it in a hurry and get you back up and running with a minimum of fuss.
We understand that when you need computer support, you want it right away When you're on PLAN 22, we give your call priority. (Callers with emergency issues who are not Landmark clients must expect be charged at Landmark's undiscounted rates, and to be taken in a priority order.)
When you're enrolled in PLAN 22, you'll also receive emergency notifications from Landmark when the situation warrants. These occasional emails provide not only information about urgent issues, but details on how to protect your computer. (Note: This is a broader mailing list than that of The View from Landmark, and is used only when we feel we must notify clients of an impending virus, worm, or denial of service attack, or of similar PC issues of a critical and immediate nature.)
How does PLAN 22 work? You get half an hour of quality telephone support each month--usable at your convenience. We'll even schedule a time to chat, if you prefer. Unused time in any given month accrues to your account. You can use it in succeeding months. If you need more than half an hour's time in a given month, you can draw from next month's time. You can accumulate up to two hours of time credits, and you can borrow up to half an hour. Outside those limits we'll continue to consult at the same low PLAN 22 rate and add any additional time to next month's billing.
It's a good deal, and as such, conditions and restrictions apply.
PLAN 22 from Landmark: The Details
PLAN 22 is for users of Windows computers only.
PLAN 22 is targeted at entrepreneurs, very small businesses (1-3 computers), and home computer users. Commercial accounts are ineligible for this plan; see our Landmark Personal Computer Support Contract page for additional support options. We reserve the right to decide eligibility for this service. We further reserve the right to withdraw this plan at any time. If we terminate or modify the plan, we will notify you with full details.
PLAN 22 requires a six-month minimum contract. There is no startup fee, and no penalty for termination after the first six months. (Early withdrawal from PLAN 22 incurs a termination fee of one month, or $22.) We deduct your monthly fee automatically on the first business day of each month from a prearranged American Express, MasterCard, or Visa card account. After the six month minimum period, billing continues unless we receive notification of withdrawal from PLAN 22 in writing at least five days before the next billing.
PLAN 22 is designed to provide support for your computing needs by telephone. Shop time and site visits are billable separately at our standard rates, and do not draw down your available monthly time credits.
PLAN 22 clients do not receive detailed invoices for consulting services. We keep service records and will provide service summaries at your request--but not more often than every eight weeks.
Your PLAN 22 contract is subject to credit card approval and valid original (not faxed) signature on file.
PLAN 22 clients may call at any time for support, though we do not offer full 24/7 technical support. You can generally expect to reach us -- or get a quick callback -- during business hours and during daytime hours on weekends and holidays. We will schedule a telephone appointment with you on request. However, Landmark Labs does not guarantee that we can necessarily respond immediately to any unscheduled phone call.
We cannot guarantee that we can answer every question or fix every problem within the limits of PLAN 22. Nevertheless, time spent on the phone is billable.
During busy periods we may have to place your call in a queue; the wait time does not count as billable time.
We do our best to provide client support, including consulting with other technical resources as necessary. If in the course of providing answers we must call a manufacturer's or software publisher's technical support line, we will consider both time spent on the phone and charges accrued to be billable.
